Kenny Wenzel is considered to be an extraordinary musician not only by audiences who have heard him around the world, but also by his peers. His expertise was apparent to the Berkeley School of music who gave him a scholarship upon hearing his trombone solo. In addition he plays flugelhorn, trumpet, flute and bass. Not only is he an incredible jazz musician but he is also gifted in other genres such as the blues and classical music. His career has taken him on tours around the world with Artie Shaw, Woody Herman and Peter Frampton. He has soloed with The Boston Pops, and many of the most prestigious orchestras in the states, i.e. Washington National symphony, Buffalo, Minneapolis –St; Paul, Albany and Chautauqua to name a few. He has played for some of the greats in the music world, such as Rosemary Clooney, Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra, Jonny Mathias, Burt Bacharach, Sammy Davis Jr. Gregory Hynes, and a host of others. He has also been recorded, written his own songs and continues to play in and around the Boston area.
